Hello EMEers

We are pleased to announce the 2010 International EME Conference to be held
in Dallas, Texas on August 12, 13, and 14th. Although the event is over a
year away, plans are well underway. The event will be held at the Weston
Hotel near the Dallas Ft.Worth airport in Irving. The hotel has excellent
recently re-modeled sleeping rooms and conference facilities. This is the
same hotel where Microwave Update 2009 will be located. The service provided
by this hotel and the hotel staff are excellent and includes a free shuttle
service to and from the DFW airport. The central location of the Westin
hotel provides a convenient location from which to embark out on planned
activities for the spouses. Hotel details as well as website check-in
details will be forthcoming.

The tentative schedule is as follows:

Thursday August 12th 8AM to 5PM Surplus Electronics Tour

Friday August 13th 8AM to 5PM Welcome and Technical presentations

Saturday August 14th 8AM to 5PM Technical presentations

7PM to 10PM Banquet with speaker and
prize drawing

Sunday August 15th 8AM to 10AM Summary and Plans for 2012

We plan to have excursions for the spouses (and men if they want to tag
along) on both Friday and Saturday and possibly on Wednesday the 11th for
both husbands and wives. Although Dallas is not as old as the great cities
of Europe such as Florence it does have its own unique history and we
believe that you will have an opportunity to experience a bit of the "old
west" with the activities we have planned.

We hope that you can work the Dallas Ft.Worth area into your vacation plans
in August of 2010. The DFW airport is a major airline hub that should allow
good international flights into the US and also allow some air excursions
either before or after the conference to other vacation areas in the US.

Further information as well as schedule information will be posted on the
North Texas Microwave Society www.ntms.org <http://www.ntms.org/> as it
becomes available.

Best Regards
