Hello Oene,

many tnx for your comments. I am using Aircom Plus in many systems and arrays
here at my QTH. But first time I had water inside the cable...

I think what Peter (G3LTF) discribes might be a good explanation!

          Hello Wolfgang,

You did not mention how long your cables were, but I guess they must be of considerable length.
About half a year after my eme setup, the system began to degrade, especially noticeable in RX. This became worser and worser and I found out that my 4 stack cables of only 5 meters long were the reason of bad RX. I changed it too ecoflex10 and all seems to hold and work fine now.
The Aircom cables however seems not bad, just as you describe. No trac of a bad N Connector IN FACT, I used th N connectors again with th ECOflex.
Aircom plus is an air based cable and you can imagine that during summer, the temperature is getting high in this black cable. Aan hen it cools down condensation starts ause pressue difference it might indeed be that microscopical airgaps exist with the outside air and thus sucking in water. In my opinion Aircom is only suitable in an
  temp stable environment, ie indoors.
I hope it helped somewhat ?

  Dear OM,

after long time I fixed my 70cm station (not EME!).

I am using 2-line cable technique and found out both cables were FULL of WATER.
  ABout 2 litres......

I am using AIRCOM PLUS CABLE.......

I wonder how so much water may get into the cable.

It seems water did not come through connector (N-Type).

  Any idea? Capillar effect?
