Dear Mario,
many thanks for the info. Actually I am using some TOnna antennas on this tower.
I also checked the plastic around the dipole and there was LOTS of water on each antenna
(I am using 3 different antennas and systems ... 2 different systems for 70cm and
one for 2m). So I dont use this cap anymore as its keeping the water.
I think the N-connector was not flooded inside by the water...

Dear Wolfgang,
my 2 cent; mni years ago , using on first attempt EME, RT50/20 cable, on this case external plastic after 4/6 mounth, especcially on manners curve a little crack, not visible at eyes, but go water internal. Also a plastic of tonna antenna around dipole, use a material plastic , i presume is sensible of ultraviolet ray, after 6/8 mounth after installation degrade with high ROS , or low ROS but deaf, but if you decape any part plastic before of polyester not have any problem . It is a problem this because to buy a cable, but not sure if is OK on years, best regards, Mario I1ANP.

Dear OM,
after long time I fixed my 70cm station (not EME!).
I am using 2-line cable technique and found out both cables were FULL of WATER.
ABout 2 litres......
I am using AIRCOM PLUS CABLE.......
I wonder how so much water may get into the cable.
It seems water did not come through connector (N-Type).
Any idea? Capillar effect?
