Hello all..........
In preperation for next WE's activity on 5.7 and 10 GHz, I propose to be active with my improved station.
Last year for the same WE it happened by general consensus of the operators involved that we use 5.7 GHz for the first pass and 10 GHz for the 2nd pass.
I think this idea works VERY well when some of us have limited windows and with only 1 dish to work with, band changes do take time.
I have cut some trees down so now even with lowest moon declination, I have a full window into Europe. I have also improved my window into NA and can now operate from 9 degrees elevation and above.
...So for next WE I plan to be active on 5.7 Ghz for the first pass and 10 GHz for the 2nd pass.........OR does this already clash with others?
I now have 100+W on 5.7 GHz and after working F2TU SSB I am pleased with the difference. With only 20 W before, my echoes on 5.7 Ghz were the weakest of my bands ...now they are the strongest!..............So I look forward to working everyone..old and new friends next WE.
I have also changed my 10 GHz feed, and now I have a W/G input on the preamp....so I hope to hear better!
..What are evryone else's plans?.........Who plans to be QRV?
