Hi Guenter & all

I had the same problem with you on 70 & 23cm, a 3V loss for  
relays/preamps, using rg-58 of bad quality but also drawing 1.2A and  
400ma current respectively over a long cable run of 30m+.
Bought electrical copper cable 3*3.5mm, put 2*3.5mm for + in parallel  
and problem solved. Cost was less than the vy expensive rg-58, for the  
electrical cable was 1.2e/m
Even 2*3.5mm cable would have done the job.

Protecting preamps with special, fast surge protectors at voltage feed.
