Hello Francesco Petros and All
Yes, it is wonderfull to see that new stations are entering the CW
section and they discover the nice Dubus Events, which helps promoting a lot !
Yesterday I had a wonderfull evening that made the absence of the
weekend completely Good with 3 new CW initials.
I sarted with Pete OE5MPL, but we could not get the sigs out of
each other, but a few hundred Hz higher Bjorn SM5CFS was calling
and a random qso and cw init 62 was quickly made :-)
Echoes started to get Loud at the end of the Evening and I tried
with Gerard PE1BTX character by character and a qso this way was
made easily. Loud sigs from both of us and after our succesfull qso
PE1BTX is in the log as init 63 and also the minimum odx by 44 km ;-)
Because echoes were so loud I tried after the qso again with Pete OE5MPL and now we succeeded so a new CW eme DXCC and init 64.
Thanks to Bjorn Gerard and Pete for making my day.
I was completely awake and saw Hugh VA3TO with -19 in jt65b and
tried CW. We did not succeed, but I got partial calls from Hugh and
myself and it was a thrill for me because Hugh was running 750W and only 2 yagis !! Very nice to have received some good periods from Hugh and he is definitely my smalles station I ever hrd on my
small station with LNA still in the shack .
I also met Marcello IT9CJC in the CW logger of N0UK and Marcello told me that He and friends are hopefully qrv this weekend with their 4 x 3wl and QRO, so new ones are indeed entering in the CW world.
For some station that cannot key very well but can decode CW by ear, the solution from Joe in WSJT is a very helpful tool.
I think also Pete used the CW mode in WSJT and it was a perfect copy.
I am looking forward to next month's Dubus and becoming more and more convinced that I also can work smaller station, just like Petros mentioned , because with my single yagi and gi7b almost 2 years ago, Francesco was able to pull me out and we had a wonderfull 1st qso ! I hope we meet soon!!! and with condx like last night a lot can be done :-)))

I fully agree with you Petros. It seems that our monthly activity is getting the interest of lot of guys.
With 2 small windows per each event,it is not too hard, like a full contest and lot of newcomers test the pleasure to hear some eme signal
with the own ears. I'll remark friends like Oene, PA3CWN, Gerard,PE1BTX ,SM7GVF and some other (sorry if i'm forgetting someone)that are
now active regularly and i heard some other that has promised to be on since next Dubus event.

Oggetto: Re: [Moon] Dubus CW EME Activity, February
Hello,
Also noticed very good activity during the February Dubus events despite poor conditions on 2m in particular.
It is a quite successful 'get together' every month and very excited to copy more and more signals from small stations as well.
I would like to note that during the events there are times that even myself running a small setup I have more than two simultaneous callers during my CQ calls.
So when especially a small station calls a CQer and doesn't get immediate reply should insist calling and not give up.
CU next event,

Moonbouncers,
Activity during the February event sure was high, but the high background
noise made signals appear a bit weaker than normal. There was also strong
QSB, especially apparent on the moonrise window due to the aurora. Very
pleased to work Marshall K5QE for initial #810 on CW EME.
Reports received so far from the February event are now published at

Dates and times for 2008 are decided, and published at

Cu all for more EME fun!
