Hello all.

Here in JA, it was stormy yesterday, Feb. 09, but it's fine now.
Hope that today and tomorrow (a national holiday) some JA
activities are noted (but I don't go to the shack, sri).

I replied to Michael, DL1YMK. Just for your notice, see below.
Antenna photos of Michael, Zdenek OK1DFC and 3Y0X team are
printed in the JA-CQ Calender of 2008.

Actually we need activities from South America!!
Is PY5ZBU still active on 23cm?? We have several minutes
windows in a few days in a year!!!

Hi Michael,

Thank you for email.
I agree that the ANTENNA OF THE WORLD Calender of CQ ham
radio would be a nice gift to one who are enthusiastically operate
from the world. You and Zdenek are honored!!

About your Urguay operation, I just liked to thank you for the
EME DX-pedition to the place where definitely is the most difficult
place to work for JA's. It is almost on the opposite side of the
globe!! The point off the coast of Urguay, just outlet of the
River La Plata is that geometry.

I think there is no JA who has worked South America on 23cm
and up; so SA is the most demanding place to go.

In Japan, we call this anual period a Golden Week, since we have
6 days national holidays/Sundays in 10-day period, between
April 27 and May 6.
April 27 and 29, May 3, 4, 5, and 6 are those. If your work is
off on Suturdays, you can take one more holiday, April 26.

I didn't see F1EHN calender yet, but your choice of the dates is
not too bad. If you could begin your operation a few days
earlier, is it much better??

Anyhow I will write in my column and send a notice to the ML,
so that some JA can work you from Urguay.
I think I have to close my clinic, which is daily open if not
public holidays....

BTW, JH1WLK who prepare for 23cm with 6m dish, built up a
OK1DFC septum feed with the wave-guide of 1mm thickness.
It looks fine; I will take the data tomorrow.
