Hello,

Maybe not any idea for a newbeginner as me to report this as most of you have been doing so much already. ( but i had fun doing it,,)

I did send a little letter last week about measuring cirkular polarisation.

I have today built me a little RF probe with just one capacitor and one diode connected to my multimeter. I after this connected a gamma matched DE to the probe.

I then put out some low power and walked away 100 feet from my antenna. I was very positively surprised to see that i could measure exactly the polarisation as the measured value dropped down as quich as i turned the DE just a little.

I think i will be able to measure my cirkularity on the antenna with this small cheap equipment. I will also try to measure how the RF field strength changes when i try to mount my X yagi with a aluminiumpipe to see how much i loose in radiation. (i have problem with high wind so i need to go from glasfibre pipes to alu pipe if it is possible)
