You're right on the money, Mike.  The attempt to force dramatically  
different modes together unnaturally and artificially is a complete  
waste of time and energy.  Absolutely nothing constructive is to be  
gained by the continued attempts to do so.  Indeed, continued angst is  
the only possible result of doing so.

Even I might be tempted to submit a contest log if the contest were  
simply CW EME, hihi.   Placing in such an event would at least have  
meaning for me.  In my view there is no point whatsoever in  
participating in events that try to forcibly combine vastly different  
mixed communications modes.

It's time to accept that  fact and move on.  One mode isn't better  
than the other, they're simply different.  As such, they should  
rightly be treated independently and be totally separated.  There's  
absolutely no problem with having single mode contests; it's done all  
the time, of course.  There's no valid reason that I see to force EME  
contests to be multi mode, especially when the existing modes are so  
widely diverse and fundamentally different.
