David,
I'm so sorry to hear about your antenna damage & that you will miss both legs of the ARRL contest. Glad no one was hurt at your QTH. Looking forward to hearing another vy FB signal from you soon.
GL & 73,
Bob, K6PF

Subject: [Moon] G4DHF Antenna Damage
Good Morning Everyone,
This is my 2nd email. My first, from QRL, does not seem to have found it's way. This morning at around 5.00am my QTH was in the path of a mini-tornado (BBC reports), which has caused major damage to my array. The array was at horizontal and the pin that secures the main pole to the rotator gave way, which allowed the winds to drive x4 of the x8 antennas into the ground. Everything is repairable as I'm using fibre booms and 3mm elements, so its only a matter of straightening and re-aligning. However, I'm going to take the array apart as I intend to relocate the tower some 5 metres away, which will greatly improve my USA Window. I shall therefore be out of action for a few weeks and shall probably miss both legs of the ARRL CW Contest, which is disappointing. My new antennas are almost ready and so I intend to replace the old system while I have the opportunity. It is the thought of working so many of you that will drive me forward and I look forward to hearing you (with an additional 1.5dB) in the future. In the meantime, allow me wish success to everyone. Anyone else ever had one of those "Monday morning feelings?" :))
73, David, G4DHF
