Thank you for putting such a great tribute to Josep on your web site.

He was indeed a great dx'er in the true sense of the word.

Worked many times on e's here but unfortunately not on EME.

I don't know about you but the words " Silent Key " always bring sadness to 
me particularly when I  think it is true that VHF / UHF
operators do tend to be closer together somehow.

You are right - the old ways of sending letters, turning up for skeds not 
really knowing whether the other guy would be there -  did he get my letter 
?? has his electric power failed  -  all kinds of thoughts used to come in 
to one's mind when working ms.

One is thing for sure  - Josep would always be there and would not give up 
if conditions were poor.

That is a testament to a very fine operator and he will be sadly missed.

My deepest condolences to Josep's  family and to Pau EA3BB who I met at 
Friedrichshafen 2 years ago.
