[Moon] Special activity tomorrow morning

On October 6 between about 1200 and 1530 UTC I will be
demonstrating the use of WSJT and MAP65 to members of the Mt
Airy VHF Radio Club -- better known in these parts as the
"PackRats". Many club members will take their turn at the
controls. They are interested in learning more about
amateur EME and meteor scatter communication.

Between 1300 and 1400 UTC (the regular Saturday morning HSMS
"Random Hour" in North America) we will be on 50.260 using
FSK441 and/or JT6M. We'll call CQ during the 2nd sequence,
looking west or southwest. We may sign K1JT, or W3CCX (the
club call), or possibly even a club member's call sign.
Please give us a call!

For the remainder of the morning (1200-1300 and 1400-1530
UTC) we will work EME on 144 MHz. We'll be using MAP65, so
it will be very easy for us to find you calling CQ or
working someone else. Don't be surprised, therefore, if you
copy W3CCX (or another unfamiliar US call, probably in the
"2" or "3" district) calling you! We may call some CQs, as
well, probably somewhere around 144.113.

Unless there is a special need to drum up some action, we
will probably NOT be on the logger.

Please work us and help to introduce some new people to the
joys of EME and meteor scatter on our VHF/UHF bands!
