Hello All,

Thank you very much Phil for your comments and thoughts, because you let us
see what really can happen, when this never ending discussions goes on and
on
and on and on.
Fortunately You are a stayer and glad we made a qso !! And it's is no
wishful
thinking that qrp cannot reach Ik3MAC or RN6BN. I wkd Graziano with 40W
and 4x9 so you have gd change to work him ( Try to figure out 3MAC his
moonrise and he probably has some extra GG too )
I will use your comment for my statement.

I am a cw lover , but also like to make jt65b qsoos very much.
I have also learned to see the value of the DS decoder and appreciate that
too !
Why, Simply because I've had some real receiving troubles with my system and
after repair made a qso with a 50W 4x12 ele station. Without DS we never had
worked and there would never have been any good decode.
But we succeeded and THEN I knew that my receiving capabilities were good
again. Off course this could have been measured, but I thin the majority
does not
have the ability to check this than with this fine tool !
In your comments you mention that you also use loggers and dx clusters.
I also do use them and like them !
I am now active only 2.5 years and experienced the whole process you
described. Starting with 50W and 1 yagi in jt65
This last ARRL I managed to work CW Un-assisted and had no logger
and no dx cluster. Simply to have some goal for myself. But I started
just like you !

In my opinion there are a lot of hams making their first steps on EME
and they can do, because of jt65, to start with their own limited station
and get the adrenaline through their vains of the excitement of the DX
of their life.
And they can also do because of some really big guns in CW that can
received easily with a single yagi.

Tonight I tried in jt65 with a station who has only 120W and 2.5 wl yagi.
He had just started and is full of excitement and passion. He mentioned
he will soon raise his 4x10 and hope he can do CW in the future because
he already worked Graziano and Sam on CW !!
We did not succeed but had great fun and I would have jumped high if
I had received him !

This morning I had a qso in jt65 with a station who had a loud signal and
I asked him to try CW. He told me via the moon in text: NOGOODEARS
What a gift that this ham can do eme , what he otherwise was unable to do !
And because he has a big signal, newbies can receive his signal and can get
insipred to do EME !

Whatever is necessary for getting your goal is allowed in my opinion and I
speak in terms of hamradio, so not robbing a bank and buy a 48 yagi array
:-)

I am greatful for the tool Joe K1JT gave to us. Without it, I would
probably still at 40m band chasing DX , suffering from annoying LIDS on
the DX frequency and only working some DX on 2m tropo, which I still like vy
much :-)

There is one thing I can predict; If this argueing goes on and on, it
will be the REAL reason for a CW band part that is drying out.

If my own kids like to play hide and seek instead of soccer or playing
cards , it does not matter to me. As long as they have fun, that is much
more
important to me. A happy look in their eyes is what counts and fill my heart
with joy !!!!!!!!!
