[Moon] Thunder& Lightning at SM7WSJ farm

Hello


We had a giant thunderstorm last evening and they counted to 450 strikes to ground in our area,,

All equipment was out from connections but the strange thing is that my 144mhz preamp blew up on the 12V side and not the antenna side. It looks to met hat the cable that are shielded did pick up some powerspike and it is black inside and some components lost.


The most boring thing is that my Satellite 70CM SSB preamp  (SP7000) also got lost.   It is nothing burnt in the SP7000 and my guess is that the transistor went dead.

If anyone having an idea if it is MGF 1302 inside and also have one for sale i really should be glad to have it back in use again.


As a little note i can tell you that the electric fense that we have around the cows just burned up and was not possible to find  near where the lightning did hit.

We shall not talk about how the electric device that sends out the pulses where looking inside,,,,  Thats life! 2 steps forward and one step back.

End of building on the new stuff and back to repair the old gear instead HI!
