Hi Jorge, I will be QRV for the contest and look forward to working you.
On 1296 most stations do not have " their own frequencies" as is the case on
144 MHz. Most people move around to find clear spots if the band is
busy. There is a calling frequency on 1296.010 but that is NOT a good place
to be in contests.
PLEASE make sure that you call plenty of CQs in a clear area, above
1296.020 is a sensible place to try.
It is very frustrating for the medium level stations like myself to hear
small stations only call big guns, (who are 6-8dB stronger) but never to
hear the small stations call CQ somewhere in the clear.

Subject: [Moon-net] 1296Mhz first attemp
Hi All,
If things goes right next Saturday I will test the 23cm eme station.
Due a tree blockade I will see the moon after 1200 UTC, then I have free
time until 1800 UTC.
I dont know how things will work, then, would be very appreciate if "big and
little guns"
send me a short e-mail giving his planned TX QRG to look for there.
Sorry no sked in advance, I will try S+P if all is OK.
RIG: 3m Dish 0.34 F/D with OK1DFC septum and scalar ring, with old SSB
RXpreamp and Khune 1296/28Mhz rx converter at the feed. TH308 at 250W
on TX.
Thanks you all in advance and good luck in the contest
Regards.
