The commercial reality is: Septum plates and other septum stuctures in 
antenna feeds and waveguides are nothing new, and they are in fact covered 
by a plethora of Patents, those available on-line range in date from the 
1980's until late 1990's. These include step plates and other forms.

So anyone producing one commercially is either going to be infringing or in 
need of a licence. Neither of which is going to be worth the effort for a 
limited Amateur Market.

The practical reality is: first person to buy one is immediately going to 
give all his mates the measurements, who will give all their mates the 
measurements, etc...
