This was a very rewarding weekend of eme experimenting and operating. On the 17th I worked on 3400MHz VK3NX O/M, OK1KIR 569/O, LX1DB 579/569 also on ssb ,G4NNS 559/539 VE4MA O/O cross band, W5LUA 569/449 on 3456MHz and OK1CA 559/559 . This made 10 QSOs and 6 new initials over the weekend. I believe that the VK3NX QSO is a new record terrestrial distance for this band. Equipment here is 6m dish 0.375 f/d, septum feed with choke, 30W at feed Sun noise measured 15dB with 68 SFU.
I think everyone enjoyed the weekends activity, I suspect that most went away with a long "to do" list having learned something about their station that they didnt know before. I believe the activity generated can be used to help the case for keeping this allocation even if it turns out to be narrower than current. I think we can all go away and work more on the CP feeds and share the results of that. Please send your full reports to Al Katz for the NL.
Thanks to all for the great QSOs and to Joe K1RQG and DF6NA for their help.
73 Peter G3LTF
