Hello,
I just listened to this sked:
sked with VK3NX and LX1DB @ 0710 on 3400.075 --------NOT 3400.050------------
I heard both stations, but my C-Band LNB is not controlled and so its L.O. is walking around, I had to struggle much with tuning and was not able to concentrate on the code. Both stations were around 8kHz apart, the higher one around 539 while the lower one was a little bit weaker.
Just this morning I luckily had discovered that the LNB due to its 5151MHz LO reverses the band, so when tuning from 3400 to 3400.075 I have to turn down instead of up. Obviously clear, but I never had such before and so I got mixed up. And not at least, I luckily was on the correct polarsation (or I wasn't and the signals strong enough?)
Rig is 4.5m dish, â¬20 C-Band-LNB (giving 7.5dB sun noise today at SFI=76), Meteosat-Converter with L.O. of 1600MHz and RX on 149MHz with FT847 and Winrad waterfall.
73, Günter (dl4mea)
