Hi Guys,

I am also working on the Jamesburg Dish. Jim's announcement of the 5760
operation is the culmination of a LOT of work, and only the first of many
EME operations we hope to have from the big dish. One reason to try it out,
first on 5760, is because the existing microwave feeds that the dish used
for its lifetime, are designed for that band. If we can keep the dish for
the long term (anyone want to buy 80 acres, a dish, and a 20,000 sq ft
home in Gods country?)
See:
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=en&saddr=San+Jose+CA&daddr=Comsat+Rd+Carmel+Valley+CA&ie=UTF8&z=17&ll=36.403116,-121.646966&spn=0.003782,0.007231&t=h&om=0
we will do a number of operations on other bands. We have at the ready a
1296 rig, capable of supplying 250 watts to the feed of the dish that we
plan to use soon.
