[Moon] DUBUS eme CW activity

Hello All,

This weekend I was on during the first leg and abt 1 hour in the
2nd leg.
For me it was time to test the new amplifier. a 2 x GI7b 
Friday evening I did some echo tests and was being called by 
Graziano IK3MAC and it seemed all was OK. ( Also nice to send
a first OOO report to Graziano instead of the usual RO ;-)  )
Being able to get abt 700W at max,  my
expectations were high.  But I experienced RF into the bias and
control board and the output coupling C started to spark at some
time. Because my initial setup was a cavity, but unable to get more 
as 20W out, I experimentally switched to the YU1AW lazy builder 
design with coil and C to see if the tubes were still alive. 
They were, but the design is very critical and when the amp is 
starting to get really warm I find this design very unstable and 
have to retune often.
So planning to make a new cavity and also made only 1 qso in the
first leg. IK3MAC wkd and heard were IK1FJI, F1FLA and K9DX.

In the evening I could hear David G4DHF calling cq but could not get
his eme signal; only tropo. Even Jimmy SV1BTR was relative weak
and I also have the feeling that my ant system has had some kind
of degradation because I noticed it's doing not as it did in the
beginning.  Maybe something smalls has happened during the storms
we had here.
Anyway I have something to play with and hope to be  'real alive'  in 
next events :-)
