When is QSO not a QSO ... when it is conducted under the JT65xx protocol.
Reference .. The ARRL definition of a Contact .. absolute irrefutable fact.

Answer .. change the rules (ARRL) .. instigate a definition of the
data protocol (viz G3LTF suggestion) and
                separate the modes (WSJT/CW).

even Mr Joe Taylor said
quote
26th April 2006 Moon-net
......" Digital communication modes are different. Their quantities
of information transfer can be measured objectively. The QSO
guidelines for traditional modes are an obvious and reasonable
starting point, but you and others have persuaded me that we could
benefit from having more explicit guidelines for digital QSOs --
probably something quantitative, something capable of establishing
with objectively high confidence that the quantitative guidelines
have been met."......

So don't get heated .. help by assisting to change the rules and lets move on.

Regards
