Hello Friends,
It looks like antennas are totally iced and it is rocket SWR on the VHF antenna. The element is 3 times thicker with all the ice. I dont think i am able to hear anything as things looks right now.
(The 432 Yagi that is not optimiced works FB so i learn something from this)
A little off topic question about 1296 tropostation.
Now when i have transverter and other parts ready for 1296 EME (Except antennarotators) i think it should be very fun to also be qrv on tropo (after this giant opening this week interest is on top)
What should be best to go for? 1.9 mesh dish or a longyagi?
What i can see most good openings comes in times where also the antennas get iced and i have to build a tropostation that also works under this conditions. I shall also mount a separate VHF antenna for tropo/satellite that is not so optimized as the EME antenna.
Thanks for advice and sri for off topic.
Merry Christmas to all of the EME friends and let 2008 be a really good EME year with lots of fun to everybody.
