An article titled 'Design of Primary Feeds for the 32m KDDI Antenna System
IBA-4
in Cassegrain Configulation', was published in DUBUS 4/2007, authored by
Rasto Galuscak, OM6AA, and others as co-authors.
In this article the possible primary feed designs for this modified
cassegrain antenna
are assessed, evaluated and finally drawn out for practice. The key to
utilize this
antenna for amateurs' three bands, 144, 432 and 1296 MHz, is how you deal
with
the 2.9m subreflector just in front of the prime focus of the main
reflector.
Hope you will find this article interesting, and valuable for future
big-dish project
in any cases. Great thanks to Rasto OM6AA, other co-authors, and Joe
Kraft, the
publisher of DUBUS magazine, and other carriered amateurs who gave us
inspiration
for this project..
In this DUBUS issue, some other interesting articles are found;
High-Efficiency Feedhorns - continued by W1GHZ and WD5AGO, 2m and 70cm
Receiver Front-ends
by KD5LV, More about Oblong Antennas by YU7XL, etc., etc. Enjoy!!
