Hello Oene and all!

I think the times for first month are printed but we shall see what Joe,Chris,Jimmy,Peter and also other interested thinks about it. It is very difficult to set the right times.

It is sure so that the times are set to EU times as it tends to be more CW activity here but it is not sure it is the best solution. We hope for some more inputs and thoughts around this. I think it is very important to keep 144mhz CW alive as it will give some more EME:r also to the higher bands in the future (as we already have seen).

I will be running this years last Dubus with one 15dBd single yagi and full power and i am realley hoping to be able to work or hear many of the EME:r in the final 2007. (hope to have all 4 X yagis running spring 2008)

BTW! real big fun on 144mhz CW yesterday when i tried to work SM2CEW with reflection on the International space station when it was passing over EU. Amazing big doppler and we came to RO received and R sent but not completed.

  Hello All,

In a few weeks time we will have the last Dubus event of this
year and I have already seen that the dates for 2008 are also
  available yet. http://www.sm2cew.com/dubus-aw.html

Yesterday I had email contact with Paul WA6PY and I mentioned
the Dubus CW activity nights and hope to meet him.
Paul reacted on this that the Dubus events are not a succes for him
because Paul is too far west and most stations are gone by the time
  moon rises at his place.

It is indeed true that the Dubus CW activity nights are favouring EU
and is there a possiblity to add a 3rd timeslot which favours both
USA and Japan (VK ZL) to have equal changes for us all ?

In this case there would also for US/JA stations a good change to work
CW in more, than only the 2nd window we have here in EU.
This 3rd timeslot would also cover the far northern regions of EU
during high moonpasses at the nothern hemisphere, so the US and JA
stations even have a change working SM2 , northern OH, northern LA.
We all have read the report from Peter SM2CEW and know how severe
WX can be at these places and during wintertime lots of times they
are unable to work eme because of frozen systems. This extra
advantage of a 3rd windw for them, would be cancelled out because
of this bad WX and fallout.

In my opinion the Dubus events become even more attractive for USA
and JA stations and we all like to see more CW activity from there, so
this is a good way to do so !!!

Hopefully this can be implemented already in the 2008 events !!!

I hope to work a lot of you next event and also participate again in
  2008 :-)

To All GL and best 73
