Maybe this is old news but I note that Sears now has available a digital
readout level tool in the long and short versions. I bought a couple of the
the 10" version for $30 on special sale as a "Craftsman Club Member"--which
is free to join.
They are currently in the Sears stores at $50 each for the 10" version and
$70 for the longer one.
Digital readout accurate to 0.1 degree, and includes a built-in laser, plus
two bubble levels.
Battery powered by 2 AAA cells not included.
The catalog number is (9)48292 "Multi-function Digital Level" Model number
320.48292
Check the web at www.craftsman.com to join the Craftsman Club if not already
a member. They are on discount for a week starting today. I do not see them
listed on the web.
I have not opened it up yet to see if the sensor can easily be remotely
mounted from the readout. I already have the Lidl digital level that was
made available to many of us at EME 2006 in Wuerzburg, but thought others
here in the US would want to know that these are available here now.
