Hi Jimmy,
I think this proposal from RSGB is based on terrestric contests.
I made this proposal several times to DARC to not allow
DXCLuster-QSOs or chat-room-QSOs anymore. Unfortunately my proposal
was completly ignored so far. Perhaps DARC will follow now RSGB.
My own experience is getting QSO (sked-) requests during contest
after spotting myself stations on DXCluster.
I just ignore these requests as the contest takes place on RADIO
and not INTERNET.
I really have to congratulate RSGB for beeing 1st on this way!
I think the INTERNATIONAL contests (i.e. Sept/OCT/MArconi) still
allow DXCluster-QSOs as other European countries did NOT follow
RSGB (as yet)!!!
For EME this topic is very related but as you know for digital work
almost everybody is using chats during contests.
