Having been stimulated, encouraged and educated by NC1I, K2UYH, N2UO, K2TXB,
K1JT and others, I have put together enough parts to get on 144 and 1296
EME, thanks to many of you who loaned, gave or sold gear to me. I attended
the past three EME conferences and also got much advice and encouragement
from the gang. I made my first single yagi EME 144 QSO with Chris SP7DCS in
the fall. The weather is not conducive to outdoor ham activity now, and all
of my operations will be portable using my rover van. I hope to be on the
air in March, if things warm up by then. Although my power is a bit QRP for
EME, I expect that I will be able to work several of the bigger signal
stations on CW on each band. Will also try to install WSJT for the future.
144: 400W 2X18el-5wl, cavity preamp. 1296: 120W 10' dish, septum
feed+scalar, cavity preamp 73, Rick, K1DS
