Hello All
First a big congrats to Frank PA4EME and Francesco IK2DDR in making
their first qso !!! It seems Frank really has the spirit :-)))))
Also congratulations to Chris SP7DCS in his two new USA initials !!!
This early morning I had two skeds with Doru YO2AMU and Hakan SM7WSJ.
Before that I saw Chris SP7DCS trying with Justin N5KO ( I knew because
was logged in the ON4KST eme logger ) and saw the traces of Chris. But
I think Faraday was playing because Chris his signal was not too strong.
At 0600 I met Doru and he had a wonderfull signal and had the idea of
making a quick qso but after 10 -15 mins or so I lost his signal and have
been sending OOO the rest of the time. I really do not know what was
causing it and started to think that my preamp had a failure because in
the 1st half of the sked with Hakan which was immediately after the sked
with Doru there were also no traces of Hakan's signal. But then they
appeared in the 2nd half and just before sked end I started OOO because
copied both our full callsigns.
When I got the message from Hakan that he had heard me I had a big
smile because it is possible !!
I guess it must have been a complete Farady lockout for more than an
hour and hope that next time Doru and I finish the job !!!
After my skeds I saw on the dx cluster that Ants ES6RQ was qrv and I
asked him on the N0UK logger to try CW.
It was a 5 minutes qso with a very good signal of Ants and that was my
25th. CW initial on 2m this year :-)))
I really am vy satisfied about this year because going from 0 to 25 different
stations is a very fine result, knowing that my power is somewhere
between 250-300W :-))
Many thanks to all and I am very glad to see that there is still plenty of
activity around and will be on in next years Dubus events and available
for other tries !
I wish All a very happy X mas and CUL !!
