Hi Michael,

I can only say that when someone contributing so much to EME as you are is
kicked off a distribution list because of your opinion, we have a problem.

We need the debate, and we need to hear different views to sharpen our
arguments!

We also need to ask ourselves why some changes are quick and easy, and
others are slow or just impossible.

It was a very quick for the ARRL (or was it no decision at all) to allow
digital to be mixed with analogue. It went very smooth when "Assisted" was
introduced. But from there on to step back and separate classes seems to be
an impossible task. Even the discussion is "hot stuff".
And to ask the ARRL to enforce their General Contest Rules appears to be an
insult to the poor cheaters who are "enforced", and is seemingly impossible.
But to take the decision that the non cheater has to bite the dust is quick
and easy.

Beats me...

subscriber list by the late and allmighty Mr. Owen, without giving any
reason for that. After several emails asking for any destinct reason, Mr.
Owen accused me to have used "words of profanity" in my recent mail.
Actually, my reply mail to Wolfgang's posting was using the following
wording: 'Wolfgang, you're damn right with...' Obviously this was enough to
kick me off the list, or was the reason that I was pleading to put JT and
CW in separate classes for the ARRL contest????
