[Moon] SETTINGS OF DELTA 44

Hi Serge,

the question "what are the proper settings" often occurs on
the different mailing lists I follow.

The true answer is "it depends ...."

Since I know your circumstances I can give an answer, but I will
try to make it useful for others.

Firstly, for MAP65, set sampling rate to 96 kHz.

Then, for input you can select the gain. What can be selected
depends on what drive routine for Delta 44 you have installed.
As far as I know, the only properly working drive routine is the 32
bit XP driver. It can be installed under 32 bit Windows 10.
Any other driver (as far as I know) causes glitches on the input.

In your case when overload is not a problem, just set maximum gain.
You could look at the change of the noise floor when switching off the
DC supply to your antenna mounted LNA. In case it is below 15 dB
you have a hardware problem, in case it is above 15 dB, try a lower
gain setting on the Delta 44 to see if it is still better than 15 dB.

Maybe 17 dB rather than 15 dB is the appropriate number. That could
be relevant to operators having problems with nearby stations
on the same band. In your case I think running at maximum gain would
never cause any problem.
